We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Head of Accounting and Tax team. This full-time role reports to the Managing Director and is a permanent position based in Bulgaria (Sofia).
Responsibilities:
- Planning, management, coordination and reporting of the financial operations and results of the company, including as part of Vistra group;
- Assessing the financial status of the company and assistance in preparing of budgets;
- Control of expenses and ensuring effective use of resources;
- Establishing and management of operational and administrative procedures;
- Planning and management of daily operations;
- Supervision of the comprehensive maintenance of Clients’ accounts and accounting records;
- Organizing work and delegating tasks to subordinates;
- Development of internal controls and supervision of proper execution of work by the subordinates;
- Assisting subordinates with more complex accounting/tax matters;
- Communication with other Vistra offices;
- Maintaining good relations with Clients and identifying their needs and potential issues;
- Cooperation with other departments in order to assure proper quality of services to Clients;
- Establishing communication procedures with Clients;
- Authorization of payments on behalf of Clients based on Client’s authorization;
- Acting as a proxy of Clients;
- Helping with new Clients acquisition by attending meetings, reviewing proposals etc.;
- Attending 2 or 3 marketing meetings per month on own initiative;
- Preparation of monthly / quarterly / annual management reports, in accordance with international standards and internal requirements;
- Supporting the Managing Director in terms of enterprise results;
- Supporting all HR activities for the accounting team including development of goals, evaluation of staff and recommendations for development;
- Developing procedures and standards for the Accounting Department;
- Checking and filling-in timesheets and work time evidence;
- Ad-hoc projects as required and requested by the superior.
Requirements:
- University degree in accounting/finance;
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in accordance with Art.18 of the Accounting Act;
- Very good knowledge of CIT Act / VAT act / TSP Code / Accounting Act;
- Very good knowledge of the national accounting standards and the international financial reporting standards;
- Experience in managing a team between 10 and 14 people;
- Excellent command of Bulgarian language and very good command of English language;
- Good computer literacy - MS Word, Excel, Outlook;
- Knowledge of financial-accounting softwares and ERP programs;
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills;
- Fast learning person, with a good eye for details;
- High motivation to achieve results and seek solutions.
