Cloud Software Engineer

SAIC’s is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer with strong development experience to contribute to designing, building, and maintaining modern, cloud‑native applications and tools that will expand the scale and accelerate the pace of our research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) supporting national security clients. This role offers the opportunity to work with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, data scientists, and AI scientists and contribute to innovative technology development and experimentation.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior software engineers to develop and deploy cloud‑native applications and microservices on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform.
Maintain well documented, formatted, and version controlled code and participate in code review.
Develop custom APIs and microservices, including containerization, where appropriate.
Create code to process data stored in both relational and NoSQL databases.
Facilitate seamless code promotion from development to production by resolving technical issues identified by testing.
Contribute to implementing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code and Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines.
Contribute to secure code development by following DevSecOps best practices.
Support cross‑functional teams by delivering high‑quality software products that meet changing research needs and client requirements.
