Position Title: Systems Engineer Senior (536)

Position Description:

SAIC is seeking a Senior EW Systems Engineer to support the Expeditionary Electromagnetic Warfare Division at NSWC Crane. This position supports the integration of critical communication, force protection, and electromagnetic spectrum capabilities into Navy and DoD mission systems. Ultimately, by systematically identifying technical risks and managing Engineering Change Proposals, the role guarantees that EW assets remain resilient, compatible, and operationally dominant against evolving adversary threats.

Job Responsibilities:

Analyze operational needs and develop, allocate, validate, and maintain system/subsystem requirements and traceability.
Support system architectures, functional baselines, design alternatives, and technical trade studies.
Develop and review Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and coordinate hardware, software, network, data, and subsystem interfaces.
Support laboratory and field integration and resolve interface, performance, and compatibility issues.
Define verification methods and acceptance criteria and support test plans, procedures, verification matrices, and reports.
Participate in technical reviews including SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and production-readiness reviews.
Identify and track technical risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, root causes, and corrective actions.
Evaluate Engineering Change Proposals, deviations, waivers, and design changes for impacts to requirements, interfaces, test, logistics, cybersecurity, production, and sustainment.
Prepare specifications, engineering reports, technical assessments, briefings, decision papers, and related documentation.
Support lifecycle activities involving reliability, maintainability, supportability, obsolescence, fielding, and sustainment.
