Senior Category Manager - Commercial Development

Role Purpose
Strengthen Euroland’s Commercial Department for the next phase of expansion by bringing stronger forward planning, category development, demand planning and retail execution into the team.
The role combines hands-on category management with operational retail experience and will take ownership of selected commercial development topics across assortment, trends, demand and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage selected categories end-to-end: assortment, pricing, sourcing, sales and margin performance.
- Build structured demand planning by category, season and store.
- Develop forward-looking assortment and purchasing plans.
- Lead trend identification and translate trends into commercial opportunities.
- Drive Pillar 3 / In-Out / Opportunity / Trend activities.
- Identify assortment gaps and define category development actions.
- Analyse sales, stock, margin, availability and SKU productivity.
- Coordinate Commercial requirements with Operations and Supply Chain.
- Support new-store openings with category, assortment and initial-stock planning.
- Improve promotional and seasonal planning.
- Introduce stronger commercial routines, follow-up and accountability within the team.
- Coach and support junior members of the Commercial Department.
- Take ownership of cross-functional commercial projects.
Required Background
- Several years of operational retail experience, ideally in non-food discount, value retail, variety retail or general merchandise.
- Strong experience in Category Management, Buying or Merchandise Management.
- Practical understanding of store operations and sales, not only purchasing.
- Experience in demand planning, assortment planning and stock management.
- Strong commercial instinct for products, trends, pricing and customer demand.
- Proven ability to turn analysis into concrete actions.
- Previous team leadership or project leadership experience.
- Strong Excel/data skills; comfortable working with KPIs and commercial analytics.
- Fluent English; Bulgarian strongly preferred.
- International sourcing experience is an advantage.
