The Marketing Service Organization Team Lead builds, leads and continuously develops a six-member global team responsible for the reliable, scalable and compliant delivery of operational marketing services across web, social media, email and marketing automation, and SEO/GEO. The role holds full people accountability and owns the global Marketing Service function — including its operating model, service portfolio, governance and financial stewardship — serving global, regional and business teams across Covestro. The position drives measurable performance, cost efficiency and continuous transformation through standardization, automation, data and AI, and acts as the accountable service partner for Marketing Communications and Customer Interaction globally.

Global Team Leadership and People Accountability Lead a six-member global team with full disciplinary and functional accountability to build a high-performing, sustainable service organization. Recruit, onboard, set objectives, evaluate performance, coach and develop employees; make decisions on roles, work allocation, capability development and succession to ensure the team consistently delivers against agreed service standards.
Global Service Ownership and Operating Model Own the global Marketing Service function and its service portfolio across web, social media, email and marketing automation, and SEO/GEO, serving global, regional and business teams. Define and continuously evolve the operating model, governance, processes, service levels, quality standards, roles and interfaces to enable consistent, scalable delivery in close collaboration with global channel owners and stakeholders.
End-to-End Delivery and Decision Authority Ensure reliable day-to-day and end-to-end service delivery by independently prioritizing demand, allocating capacity, resolving resource conflicts, approving operational solutions and escalating material risks — so that business-critical work is delivered on time and to agreed quality and compliance standards.
Financial Ownership and Commercial Control Plan, allocate, monitor and optimize an annual direct budget of approximately EUR 0.5 million and actively steer approximately EUR 1.8 million of supported spend. Own forecasting, variance management and cost control; define corrective actions; and contribute to sourcing, contract, consolidation and make-or-buy decisions to maximize value and efficiency.
Performance, Quality and Risk Accountability Set targets and manage performance through KPIs covering demand, capacity, turnaround time, SLA adherence, quality, rework, utilization, customer satisfaction and cost efficiency. Ensure compliance with brand, legal, data privacy, accessibility, security and platform requirements and take corrective action where performance or controls fall short.
Transformation and Productivity Improvement Identify, prioritize and implement cross-channel improvements through standardization, consolidation, automation, data and AI to increase productivity and service quality. Translate ambiguous business needs into scalable solutions, quantify benefits and lead change across processes, technology, providers and team capabilities.
Senior Stakeholder and Customer Management Act as the accountable global service partner for Marketing Communications and Customer Interaction teams, Business Entities, channel owners and Group Functions. Negotiate priorities and service expectations, advise stakeholders on feasible solutions and communicate decisions, performance, risks and trade-offs transparently to build trust and alignment.
Agency, Vendor and Cross-Functional Governance Direct and evaluate agencies, technology vendors and other providers; coordinate dependencies with MarTech, ComTech, IT, Procurement, HR, Legal, Data Privacy and Brand. Establish governance, monitor contractual and operational performance and intervene when cost, quality, timing or risk requires action.

The minimum salary on this position is 3000 EUR. The salary can be higher depending on the skills and experience of the candidate.

What You Offer

Completed studies in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Digital Media or a related field, or an equivalent qualification
Several years of experience in marketing operations, digital channel delivery or shared-service management, ideally in a leadership role and an international environment
Strong people leadership, coaching and organizational skills, with experience in building and developing high-performing service teams
Solid understanding of operational marketing services across web/CMS, social media, email and marketing automation, and SEO/GEO
Experience with service management, workflow or ticketing systems, SLAs, KPIs, demand and capacity management, and continuous improvement
Proven ability to manage agencies, vendors, budgets and complex stakeholder relationships
Strong analytical, process-oriented and problem-solving mindset, with an interest in automation, data and AI-enabled ways of working
Excellent communication, customer orientation, decision-making capability and the ability to work effectively across cultures and functions
Fluent English is required; German or Slovak is an advantage
