Job Summary
Job Description
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assists mechanics with installation, maintenance, and repair activities across multiple trades including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC equipment, and carpentry work.
- Supports job site preparation and cleanup, including material handling, tool organization, and general worksite maintenance.
- Assists with basic construction or repair activities such as structural assembly, component replacement, and equipment setup under supervision.
- Uses hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment while learning proper operational techniques and safety procedures.
- Observes and participates in a variety of skilled trades activities to gain exposure to multiple craft areas.
- Assists with maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Supports basic documentation needs such as inventory checks, job site notes, and safety-related reporting.

Additional Job Description
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a recognized technical or trade school program related to facilities maintenance, construction, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work including standing, walking, lifting, and working in varying environmental conditions such as heat, cold, and elevated areas.
- Strong interest in learning skilled trades and maintaining safe work practices.
