Head of Revenue Optimization
Based in Budapest
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Head of Revenue Optimization is responsible for maximizing Wizz Air's revenue performance through effective forecasting, pricing optimization and revenue management system development. The role leads the company's demand forecasting capabilities, revenue optimization technology roadmap, ancillary pricing strategy and AI-driven optimization initiatives. Working closely with the broader Commercial and Digital teams, the Head of Revenue Optimization ensures that data-driven insights and technology solutions translate into measurable improvements in revenue, profitability and commercial decision-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES (MAIN ACTIVITIES, TASKS). THE FOLLOWING, BUT NOT LIMITED
- Lead Wizz Air's revenue forecasting, budgeting and long-term demand planning capabilities, ensuring robust support for strategic and operational decision-making.
- Own the development and continuous enhancement of ticket and ancillary revenue management systems, ensuring scalability, automation and commercial effectiveness.
- Define and drive the revenue optimization technology roadmap, including AI-driven pricing, forecasting and decision-support capabilities.
- Partner with Data and Digital teams to identify, prioritize and implement advanced analytics and machine learning solutions that improve revenue performance.
- Establish pricing optimization frameworks and ensure alignment between ticket, ancillary and promotional pricing strategies.
- Evaluate revenue impacts of network, fleet and capacity scenarios, providing commercial recommendations to senior leadership.
- Translate commercial objectives into actionable revenue optimization initiatives, performance targets and governance processes.
- Lead and develop Forecasting Managers and Pricing Systems Managers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drive business case development, benefits tracking and post-implementation reviews for revenue optimization initiatives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor practices and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement.
- Act as a key advisor to the Revenue Officer and wider Commercial Leadership Team on revenue optimization strategy and performance.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of experience in Revenue Management, Pricing, Forecasting, Commercial Analytics or a related field.
- Proven leadership experience in managing high-performing analytical or commercial teams.
- Experience in airline revenue management, pricing or demand forecasting is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable commercial impact through data-driven decision making.
TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
- Strong understanding of airline revenue management principles, pricing strategies and demand modelling.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience managing complex forecasting and optimization frameworks.
- Experience working with revenue management systems, forecasting tools and large-scale data environments.
- Knowledge of advanced analytics, machine learning or AI applications within pricing and forecasting processes is an advantage.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to translate analytical insights into business outcomes.
EDUCATION
Bachelor or Master's degree

Fluent English (both written and spoken)
