What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors at a government facility by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, permits, and/or visitor authorizations in accordance with established site policies.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, access-control events, and other security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
