Regional Sales Manager, Northeast - Telguard

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the development and growth of a client base through strategic outside sales activity. This includes prospecting for new accounts, developing consultative relationship with clients, and managing ongoing account and territory activity.
Location Requirement: To effectively support our Northeast Region operations, candidates must reside within the Northeastern United States.
Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed all revenue goals and sales targets
- Develop leads and prospects within a defined vertical, securing new business through a combination of outbound telephone calls, online communications, email campaigns and in-person visits
- Maintain customer database including relevant business activity and communication
- Utilize SalesForce for scheduling calls/tasks with customers
- Effectively present and demonstrate products and services to new prospects and existing clients
- Manage and maintain corporate relationships with assigned Strategic Accounts
- Instruct sales team members on procedures and selling processes with assigned Strategic Accounts
- Maintain consistent pipeline of existing and prospective business
- Build relationships with customers through professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
- Manage a travel expense budget effectively
- Travel to tradeshow events and customer sites
- Professionally represent the company and brand in public settings
- Coordinate shipping/tracking of trade show materials to/from events. Includes handling of materials up to 50 lbs per package.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding business opportunity progress
- Achieve an annual sales quota and provide reasonably accurate sales forecasts to management
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs
- The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3 - 5 years combined Industry related sales & customer support experience
- 3 - 5 years of experience with CRM systems, Salesforce highly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint
- Experienced with conducting sales webinars to prospective customers
- Proven success in developing new business while managing and growing existing client sales
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven negotiation and presentation skills
- Must be willing to travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-3 years background in the security and M2M/Telematics industries
- To effectively support our Northeast Region operations, candidates must reside within the Northeastern region of United States.
