Job Details

ChristianaCare Family Medicine Center at Wilmington is seeking a professional, dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills.

Family Medicine Center at Wilmington is located in Wilmington, Delaware. A fast-paced, mission-driven academic practice where you’ll play a critical role in supporting both patient care and the next generation of providers. This opportunity is ideal for a highly adaptable, patient-focused Medical Assistant who thrives in a collaborative and evolving clinical environment. In this resident-supported setting, no two days are the same—you will partner with attending physicians, rotating residents, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population. The role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to confidently manage complexity, while supporting clinical flow, coordinating care, and ensuring accurate documentation across multiple providers.

You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of patient needs, including complex medical and social factors, while building skills in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vitals, supporting patient education and follow-up, and adapting to changing schedules and priorities. This role offers meaningful opportunities for growth, leadership, and skill development, including supporting resident onboarding and strengthening clinical judgment in a high-acuity setting. We are seeking someone with strong adaptability, excellent communication skills, and a resilient, patient-centered mindset. While more complex than a traditional setting, this environment offers significant professional growth, deeper impact, and the chance to contribute to a teaching mission—ideal for someone motivated by challenge, purpose, and continuous learning.

As a Medical Assistant I, you support physicians in virtual and on-site patient care, performing essential clinical and clerical duties to ensure quality care.
