Stantec’s multi-disciplinary office in Mt Laurel, NJ has an opportunity for a Civil Site Designer to join our Community Development team.
We are seeking a candidate with experience in professional practice and design related to land development/community development. This position will involve significant projects, interacting with clients and government agencies and effectively working with a team.
The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects for clients within the private and municipal (local, state and federal) sectors. This is an excellent career opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join a team of outstanding professionals and help our clients solve their most challenging problems. Typical projects involve site/civil design for residential, commercial and industrial site development, as well as capital improvement/utility infrastructure projects. You may be needed to visit project sites and perform construction observation activities. We offer all candidates the opportunity to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Supports project team in development of design documentation, plans, and reports for relevant project design elements.
- Site/civil plan preparation including grading design, water and sewer infrastructure design, roadway design
- Design of storm water management systems, and erosion and sediment control plans.
- Preparation of survey plans including topographic base plan preparation.
- Working on design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents or construction plans.
- Ordinance/code and deed research, cost estimation, and permitting applications.
- Ready to step in and assist with any of design team tasks in order to complete project on time and with quality design.
