We currently have an exciting opportunity for a full-time, Disability Claim Specialist in the Health, Safety & Wellness department. The Disability Case Specialist supports CAMH objective of providing high quality, timely, and equitable support to our employees experiencing occupational and non- occupational related illness or injury. Reporting within Health, Safety and Wellness, the Disability Case Specialist is responsible for the effective administration of Short-Term-Disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), and related absence and return-to-work processes, ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation, such as AODA, WSIB, Employment Equity Act, Human Rights and Privacy legislation, HOODIP guidelines, and CAMH policies and procedures. The role provides expert case management support to employees, leaders, HR partners and other stakeholders throughout the accommodation lifecycle. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure positive, timely return to work outcomes with key focus on duty to accommodate, safety, and a positive employee experience. You will respond to case issues objectively and tactfully and maintain external linkages to best practices in claim management.
