POSITION: Senior Office Specialist – Operations | Emergency Services
Under general guidance and direction of the assigned supervisor, performs clerical and secretarial duties as needed to expedite day-to-day recordkeeping and civil processing functions and provides support to various programs and/or divisions of the Sheriff’s Office. Incumbents in this position are capable of training and leading others.
Starting Pay: Grade 718 $20.62 - $23.74 Hourly (based on education and experience)
Schedule: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with state and FEMA grant applications, documentation, and quarterly reimbursement requests.
- Maintain accurate records and files for audits, including expenses, training, mileage, equipment, and supplies.
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to Emergency Services programs and divisions.
- Coordinate office procedures and practices.
- Enter and track purchase orders and assist with forms, filing, copying, and other office functions.
- Help create and maintain training manuals and materials.
- Maintain Search and Rescue incident records for reporting, statistics, and grant reimbursement.
- Train and provide guidance to other staff as needed.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five (5) years of general clerical support experience.
- At least two (2) years of experience directly related to the duties of the position.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Ability to organize, maintain accurate records, and handle multiple administrative responsibilities.
- Ability to train and provide guidance to others.
