Detailed Description:

Perform minor preventative maintenance on machinery to support efficient operations.
Assist with maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and shop equipment.
Install lights, shelving, workstations, and other facility-related items as needed.
Maintain accurate forklift logs and support safe equipment operation.
Obtain forklift certification and operate equipment safely when required.
Move furniture, equipment, and materials as needed across the facility.
Ensure work areas and shop floors are clean, organized, and in proper working condition.
Follow all procedures in accordance with documentation, HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental) policies, and quality standards.
Perform additional maintenance tasks and special projects as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

Demonstrate accountability in completing assigned maintenance tasks efficiently and safely.
Maintain awareness of workplace safety practices and proper equipment handling.
Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and company policies with attention to detail.
Strong work ethic and willingness to perform hands-on, physical tasks.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and coworkers.
Ability to manage multiple small tasks in a fast-paced shop environment.
Experience operating forklifts or willingness to become certified.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
0–1 year of experience in maintenance, construction, or a related hands-on role.
Comfortable working with tools, machinery, and physical tasks.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior exposure to industrial or manufacturing environments.
Basic knowledge of preventative maintenance practices.

Additional Details:

The Maintenance Technician I must prioritize personal safety and the safety of others at all times. Work is performed primarily in a shop or industrial environment and may involve physical labor, including lifting, standing, and operating tools or equipment for extended periods. Occasional exposure to machinery and facility systems is expected.
