Job Description
What you will do:
Every journey we build is the starting point for a better one. We’re looking for a Marketing Automation Specialist who works that way too — someone who reads a strong result and immediately asks what more is on the table, then goes hunting for the marketing and product insight that gets them there.
You’ll join Growth Marketing on a 12-month contract, owning the automated journeys that drive engagement, retention and membership. Braze is where you’ll be building as we complete our move onto it, so if you already know your way around the platform you’ll be making an impact from your first month. You’ll work in a cross-functional team built around an audience and the business metrics that audience moves, alongside experts in paid media, with our SEO and GEO specialists and the Growth Analytics and Experimentation team behind you.
It’s a contract, but it isn’t a holding pattern. You’ll own journeys that reach one of the largest audiences in the country, in a team where the bar keeps moving and everyone is expected to move it.
- Own the automated customer journeys that drive engagement, retention and membership — the build, the optimisation, and the results they deliver.
- Turn customer, product and campaign insights into personalised, multi-channel communications that feel timely rather than templated.
- Set the testing agenda for your journeys. Form the hypothesis, run the experiment, act on what it tells you, and make sure the rest of the team learns from it too.
- Push CX optimisation across the journeys and touchpoints that matter most to your audience.
- Work shoulder to shoulder with paid media in your team, and pull in our SEO and GEO specialists and the Growth Analytics and Experimentation team to sharpen what you build.
- Develop lifecycle communications, including newsletters and long-form content, that people actually want to open.
- Support go-to-market campaigns for products and features, including AI, instant offer, private ads, and payments.
- Own segmentation, campaign setup, QA and delivery — accurate, on time, every time.
- Track performance against your team’s business metrics and bring the next growth opportunity to the table before anyone asks for it.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Deep hands-on experience in marketing automation, CRM or lifecycle marketing — and you’re still not done learning it.
- A track record of building multi-channel automated journeys end to end, and the results to show for them.
- Real fluency with segmentation, personalisation and testing, and the judgement to know which lever to pull and when.
- Curiosity that shows up as action. You chase the insight, then chase the result it points to, then go again.
- Fluency with data. You can interrogate a dashboard, pull the insight out of it, and make the case for what to do next to people who don’t live in it.
- Meticulous attention to detail across campaign setup and QA. Growth is built on campaigns that go out right the first time.
- The collaboration skills to thrive in a cross-functional team where the business metrics are shared, not owned by one function.
- Hands-on experience with Braze is highly regarded; experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar marketing automation platforms will also be considered.
