• At Etihad Airways, we’re looking for a commercially driven Account Manager to join our Sales team in Amman and help grow our presence and performance in the Jordanian market.
• This is an opportunity for an experienced sales professional who knows how to build strong customer relationships, identify commercial opportunities and turn those opportunities into results.
• You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of accounts, working closely with customers to understand their businesses, strengthen Etihad’s position and drive sustainable revenue growth. You’ll combine relationship management with data, market intelligence and commercial insight to make informed decisions and deliver against ambitious sales targets.

• What you’ll do

• As an Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and growing relationships across your assigned portfolio while identifying opportunities to expand Etihad’s business in the Jordanian market.
• You’ll use sales data, customer insights and market intelligence to understand where opportunities exist and develop targeted sales activity to convert those opportunities into revenue.
• You’ll also:

• Develop and execute sales plans to achieve agreed commercial and revenue targets.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with existing accounts and establish yourself as a trusted commercial partner.
• Identify, prospect and develop new business opportunities across the market.
• Understand the commercial potential of individual accounts and identify opportunities to grow revenue and market share.
• Regularly engage with customers to understand their needs and keep them informed about Etihad’s network, products, services and promotions.
• Use sales data, customer insights and market intelligence to support commercial decisions and prioritize opportunities.
• Monitor competitor and wider market activity and share insights that can strengthen Etihad’s commercial position.
• Negotiate and manage commercial agreements with assigned accounts within established guidelines.
• Work closely with Sales colleagues and teams across Etihad’s wider commercial organization to deliver results.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and account information within Etihad’s CRM.

Qualifications

• We’re looking for someone who combines strong relationship-building skills with a genuinely commercial mindset.
• You’ll ideally bring:

• Previous experience in account management, sales, business development or another relevant commercial role.
• A demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and delivering commercial results.
• Strong account management skills with the ability to develop productive, long-term customer relationships.
• The confidence to identify and pursue new business opportunities rather than relying solely on an existing portfolio.
• Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Commercial and analytical capability, with confidence using data and market insights to guide decisions.
• The ability to manage multiple accounts, stakeholders and priorities effectively.
• A proactive approach, with the energy and drive to take ownership and deliver results.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Experience within airlines, aviation or the wider travel industry would be highly valuable. However, we’re also interested in strong B2B sales and account management professionals from other industries who can demonstrate the commercial capability, customer focus and track record to succeed.

Recruitment Process

The recruitment process for this position will involve the following steps:

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to complete a recorded video interview via our third-party platform HireVue. This interview will allow you to record your responses to a range of questions related to the position and will allow you to demonstrate your knowledge and experience in a way that just your CV alone would not be able to. It also ensures fairness for you and all candidates, as all of our shortlisted candidates are asked the same questions and assessed on their responses. 
3. After a review of completed video interviews, shortlisted candidates will be invited to an initial technical interview with the hiring manager. This interview will include the completion of a job-related case study and presentation to the hiring team.
4. Finalists may be invited to a follow up meeting with additional members of the hiring team.
5. All candidates will be notified as to the status of their application as soon as is possible.
