Systems Engineer I/II OR Software Engineer 0/I/II

ProSync is seeking a Systems OR Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
Responsibilities:
- Python Application Development — Develop, test, and maintain Python applications supporting mission workflows and backend processing.
- Containerization & Docker — Build, optimize, and troubleshoot Docker‑based containers used across development, testing, and production environments.
- Kubernetes Deployment — Deploy, manage, and support applications running in Kubernetes clusters, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Helm Chart Development — Create, maintain, and update Helm charts to support automated Kubernetes deployments and configuration management.
- Cloud‑Native Engineering — Apply cloud‑native principles to improve application resilience, observability, and maintainability.
- CI/CD Collaboration — Work with DevSecOps teams to integrate Python applications and containerized services into automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization — Diagnose issues across containerized environments, Kubernetes workloads, and Python applications.
- Documentation & Team Support.

Requirements
- Software Engineering Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of experience in software engineering.
- (Note: Software Engineer Level I's require a relevant Bachelor's degree or higher plus seven (7) years of software engineering experience.)
- Software Engineer Level II's require a relevant Bachelor's degree or higher plus fourteen (14) years of software engineering experience.)
- Systems Engineering Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus seven (7) years of experience in systems engineering.
- (Note: Systems Engineer Level II's require a relevant Bachelor's degree or higher plus fourteen (14) years of systems engineering experience.)
- Must have at minimum 5 years of experience with Python, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
- An active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph is required.
