Who We Are
Engineering simulation is one of the last major categories of software that AI hasn't rebuilt. The tools used to design aircraft, ships, reservoirs, and medical devices still run on numerical methods that are decades old, and an engineer can wait a full day for a single answer. UniversalAGI is building foundation models that learn physics directly from data, and they are already running in early deployments on real computational fluid dynamics and reservoir engineering problems for some of the largest industrial and defense organizations in the world.
We are a team of 25 researchers and engineers in San Francisco backed by Elad Gil (#1 Solo VC), Eric Schmidt (former Google CEO), Prith Banerjee (ANSYS CTO), Ion Stoica (Databricks Founder), Jared Kushner (former Senior Advisor to the President), David Patterson (Turing Award Winner), and Luis Videgaray (former Foreign and Finance Minister of Mexico).
About the Role
UniversalAGI's technology already works: our Large Physics Model is running in live deployments with some of the most demanding industrial, energy, and defense organizations in the world. As our Head of Revenue, you'll be the founding commercial executive who owns executive-level sales on our most strategic accounts, turns founder-led relationships into a repeatable revenue engine, and builds the go-to-market team, narrative, and partnerships that carry us into our next stage of growth.

What You'll Do
Own the number: Head of Revenue will have a mid-2027 target and YE 2027 ARR target they have to hit. They own all executive selling and turn active pilots into signed, expanding contracts across our most strategic accounts.
Build the go-to-market engine: design the team and account coverage that lets us sell repeatably. Put in the forecasting and pipeline discipline a real revenue function runs on.
Build and lead the team: recruit and develop the senior sellers and go-to-market talent this function needs as we scale.
Build the playbook: lead creation of marketing materials and necessary sales collateral. Turn technical wins and model performance into a business case that lands with buyers who've never bought a foundation model before.
Own strategic partnerships: hyperscalers, systems integrators, and the software players that extend our reach.
Represent UniversalAGI: show up at the industry's biggest moments as the face of our go-to-market, in front of the world's largest industrial, energy, and defense organizations.
Work with the CEO: This person needs to have credibility and gravitas to sit for our CEO and Founder in the most critical customer meetings. They will work closely with the founding team, board, and advisors to close our most strategic deals and help shape where the company goes next.
Enhance and position UniversalAGI CEO within CEO and CTO network of Fortune 500 companies.
Qualifications
10+ years in revenue leadership, with quota or P&L ownership at the VP, CRO, or President level.
Experience selling complex, technically differentiated software or AI into asset-heavy industrial, energy, or aerospace & defense customers.
Engineering background: 7+ years experience in selling complex engineering software solutions into Engineering Primes (e.g. Northrop Grumann, ExxonMobil, GM, GE Vernova etc.)
A personal track record of opening and closing deals with C-level and VP buyers at large industrials, national or international oil companies, or defense primes.
Comfort creating a deal where no budget line exists yet, rather than competing for one that's already planned.
Experience scaling a go-to-market organization out of a founder-led motion into a structured, repeatable one.
Experience recruiting, coaching, and leading a senior sales team while owning a number.
Ownership beyond sales: category narrative, partnerships, and customer expansion as one growth mandate, not siloed functions.
Willingness to be a hands-on closer early on, while you build the team and systems that scale beyond you.
Executive presence that lands with both technical buyers and C-suite economic buyers, often in the same week.
Comfort operating in a high-intensity, early-stage environment with a product that's still evolving.
Bonus Qualifications
Existing relationships with oil & gas majors or national oil companies, aerospace & defense primes, or government program offices.
Experience selling into or partnering within the industrial AI / engineering software ecosystem (simulation, PLM, IoT, digital twin, or similar).
Experience introducing consumption-based or AI-driven pricing and packaging models.
Prior experience at an early-stage (Seed through Series C) startup building a go-to-market function from the ground up.
Experience operating through an acquisition, IPO, or other major strategic transaction.
International or multi-region go-to-market experience, including by not limited to: Gulf, MENA, APJ.
Fluency in a second language relevant to our target regions.
