Servicer & Applications Engineer (Taiwan)

The Service & Applications Engineer will provide key applications input into the Sales team to win the project through working with and observing customers using metrology solution and understanding their applications. You will also take engineering solutions and propose and implement evaluation testing of our next generation hand-held and bench-top metrology solution for roughness, roundness and contour measurement.
In this role, you will provide training to the Service and Sales team for all the new products & application’s knowledge while supporting the local team to sell or use the new products or solutions. You will provide feedback to UK the market’s technique trend and new request, help UK to innovate new product or applications. Also you will support potential Sales capability to drive optics industry business growth.
Principal Accountabilities:
Steer the application focus of new product development both directly and through customer and sales staff questionnaires.
- Support the sales team to win Optics market to achieve the team’s target
- Ensure customer need are being met in a new an innovation way to deliver product differentiation.
Propose evaluation test plans for both design elements and complete instruments to test ease of use, robustness and metrology performance
- Work with mythologists, engineers and customers to confirm tests to be used.
- Provide detailed written reports and conclusions
- Provide feedback on potential improvements.
Implement test plan including preparing and organizing equipment needed for tests and performance tests.
- Ensure all tests are carried out in a well documented and repeatable way.
- Work with Service and Product Managers to create and release product support documentation.
- Ensure work is carried out in an efficient and timely manner.
- Demo room set up and manages it’s daily operation.
- Share the application knowledge and experience to all the team and other countries.
- Support local marketing promotion including Seminar and exhibition etc.
- Training arrange and organize for the team & customers
- Market technique information collection to UK
- Lead the new application colleagues to be a good Optics application supervisor.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
