THE OPPORTUNITY
Nexstar's advertising business continues to evolve across broadcast, digital, streaming, sponsorships and data-driven marketing solutions.
At FOX40, this position will play an important role in supporting a local sales team as the complexity and volume of integrated advertising opportunities continue to grow.
The Client Solutions Specialist will help bridge Sales, Digital, Research and Creative - making it easier for our Account Executives to bring sophisticated solutions to market while ensuring those opportunities are effectively coordinated and executed.
The goal is simple: help our sellers spend more time selling, help our teams execute more efficiently, and help FOX40 create, grow and retain revenue.
POSITION SUMMARY
Nexstar Media Group's FOX40 is seeking a highly organized, creative and solutions-oriented Sales & Digital Solutions Specialist to support a team of local Account Executives and help drive the continued growth of our broadcast, digital, streaming, sponsorship and integrated advertising business.
Although this role includes traditional sales support duties (order entry, revisions and WideOrbit traffic coordination) it goes beyond traditional sales support.
As advertising solutions become increasingly multi-platform, this position will help connect our sales team with the research, digital capabilities, sponsorship opportunities, creative resources and internal expertise needed to develop and execute effective client solutions.
Working closely with Sales leadership, Account Executives, Digital, Research, Commercial Production and Nexstar resources, the Sales & Digital Solutions Specialist will help move opportunities from idea to proposal to execution - while creating processes and materials that allow our sellers to spend more time selling.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
DIGITAL & INTEGRATED SALES SUPPORT
- Support local Account Executives in the development of broadcast, digital, streaming/CTV, social, search, sponsorship and integrated advertising solutions.
- Help sellers navigate Nexstar's expanding portfolio of digital products, capabilities and internal resources.
- Coordinate with Digital and other Nexstar teams to obtain product information, pricing, fulfillment requirements, research and campaign recommendations.
- Support complex digital opportunities and integrated client proposals from initial concept through execution.
- Assist with major RFPs and new-business opportunities by coordinating research, capabilities, pricing and required internal resources.
- Help translate complex digital capabilities into clear, easy-to-sell client solutions.
SPONSORSHIP & REVENUE DEVELOPMENT
- Work with Sales leadership to develop FOX40 sponsorships, sports packages, seasonal opportunities, community initiatives and custom programs.
- Identify station programming, events, content and digital capabilities that can be packaged into new revenue opportunities.
- Package broadcast, streaming, digital, social and custom-content assets into cohesive client solutions.
- Maintain an organized and current library of available sponsorships, packages, sales materials and opportunities.
- Coordinate the execution and fulfillment of sold sponsorships and integrated programs.
SALES PRESENTATIONS, RESEARCH & STORYTELLING
- Research client categories, prospects, consumer trends, competitive activity and market opportunities.
- Turn audience insights and research into clear, persuasive client-facing stories.
- Develop polished presentations, one-sheets, proposals and sales materials.
- Assist Account Executives with preparation for important client meetings, new-business presentations and RFPs.
- Create customizable materials that allow sellers to respond quickly to opportunities.
CAMPAIGN COORDINATION & EXECUTION
- Serve as a central point of coordination among Sales, Digital, Commercial Production, Creative Services and other internal resources for integrated campaigns.
- Coordinate creative requests, client assets, approvals, production schedules and deadlines.
- Track complex projects from initial concept through completion.
- Maintain visibility into project status and proactively communicate next steps or potential roadblocks.
- Help ensure that client objectives and sales strategy are accurately communicated to the teams responsible for execution.
CAMPAIGN RECAPS, RENEWALS & UPSELL
- Develop client-facing post-campaign recaps that clearly demonstrate campaign execution and results.
- Gather digital metrics, screenshots, creative assets, broadcast elements and other proof-of-performance.
- Turn campaign results into compelling success stories that support renewals and upsell opportunities.
- Help develop FOX40 case studies showcasing successful client partnerships.
SALES ENABLEMENT & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
- Help create and maintain tools, resources and processes that make it easier for the sales team to sell increasingly complex advertising solutions.
- Serve as a resource for Account Executives seeking information about available products, sponsorships, digital capabilities and internal resources.
- Coordinate multiple projects and priorities across Sales, Digital and Creative teams.
- Support strategic sales initiatives and revenue-development projects identified by Sales leadership.
- Provide general sales support as needed while maintaining primary focus on digital solutions, sponsorships, sales enablement and revenue-generating initiatives.
SALES SUPPORT & ORDER MANAGEMENT (AS NEEDED)
- Provide backup sales support to local Account Executives as needed, including order entry, revisions and traffic coordination in WideOrbit.
- Enter, revise and manage broadcast, digital and streaming orders in WideOrbit, ensuring accuracy of rates, dates, units, copy instructions and rotations.
- Coordinate with Traffic, Billing and Accounting to help resolve discrepancies between orders, schedules, invoices and agency instructions.
- Submit special billing requests, issue preemptions and maintain stewardship reports as needed.
- Assist with contract generation, order stewardship and recap reports to support Account Executives, particularly during high-volume sales periods.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience in media, advertising, digital marketing, sales support, account management, marketing or a related field.
- Familiarity with the WideOrbit Sales & Traffic system and general order-entry processes a plus.
- Strong organizational, time and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written communication and storytelling skills.
- Ability to take research, data or complex information and turn it into a clear client-facing story.
- Strong PowerPoint or presentation-development skills.
- Interest in digital advertising, streaming/CTV, emerging advertising products and integrated marketing.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and with different levels of the organization.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to find answers and move projects forward.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment and supporting multiple Account Executives.
