OverviewTo provide specialist instrumentation and automation support by installing, calibrating, maintaining and troubleshooting control systems and production equipment to minimise downtime and improve plant reliability.
Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, maintain and repair instrumentation, sensors, transmitters, control valves, and automated equipment.
- Perform instrumentation, electrical and control-system fault-finding and troubleshooting to minimize production downtime.
- Programme, configure, maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems.
- Add, update and maintain SCADA interfaces and ensure accurate monitoring, alarms, and controls.
- Test and commission instrumentation and control systems following installations, repairs or modifications.
- Lead and support the maintenance team while ensuring compliance with safety, food safetyand maintenance standards.
Qualifications
- N3/N4 or equivalent technical qualification.
- Relevant Instrumentation trade qualification.
- Experience in instrumentation and automation within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Practical experience with PLCs, SCADA, sensors, transmitters, control loops and variable-speed drives.
- Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Team leadership or supervisory experience.
