As a Technical Product Owner, you’ll help shape and deliver personalization capabilities that create more relevant, connected customer experiences for a leading organization in the retail industry.

You’ll work at the intersection of Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, Data, and business teams, translating customer and business needs into technically sound, scalable product capabilities. You’ll own and refine the product backlog, drive roadmap execution, and help teams make informed decisions across APIs, backend services, Customer Data Platforms (CDP), integrations, and digital experience ecosystems.

You’ll balance near-term delivery with long-term platform evolution, ensuring the products we build are valuable to customers, technically sustainable, and ready for production.

Your Impact

• Drive the technical product backlog for personalization initiatives, translating product strategy, business needs, and customer problems into clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release priorities.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Architects, business stakeholders, and partner teams to shape solutions and deliver roadmap outcomes across customer experience, digital products, and retail systems.
• Build alignment between customer needs and technical architecture, considering APIs, backend services, data integrations, performance, security, and platform dependencies when defining product requirements.
• Prioritize features, technical enablers, dependencies, and remediation work based on customer value, business impact, technical feasibility, risk, and longer-term architectural goals.
• Drive delivery outcomes by monitoring milestones, identifying risks and cross-team dependencies, resolving ambiguity, and supporting the team through implementation and release.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and key product decisions, partnering with engineering and architecture teams to ensure solutions are scalable, production-ready, and aligned with platform standards.
• Apply customer, product, and data insights to identify gaps, refine use cases, shape future capabilities, and continuously improve the personalization experience.

Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience building and delivering consumer-facing digital products, with hands-on ownership of product backlogs, epics, user stories, roadmaps, milestones, and releases.
• Strong technical understanding of backend services, REST APIs, system integrations, architecture patterns, and performance considerations, with the ability to translate between business and engineering audiences.
• Hands-on product experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and their role within personalization and customer-experience ecosystems. Experience with Adobe CDP is strongly preferred.
• Experience partnering closely with software engineering and architecture teams throughout discovery, solution design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Demonstrated ability to use qualitative and quantitative insights to prioritize features, evaluate trade-offs, and make product decisions.
• Strong working knowledge of Agile product delivery, including Scrum and/or SAFe, backlog refinement, sprint planning, dependency management, and iterative delivery.
• Hands-on experience with product and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C1 or higher), with experience collaborating with distributed teams and communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
