As a Principal Global Trade Analyst, you will assist your GT team members with international business opportunities in concert with internal objectives. Work products and interactions will be at multiple levels, from your program office team to Contracts and Business Development. The selected candidate will be a part of the Global Trade team supporting and executing the export licenses and agreements of international activities in concert with company policies and customer requirements with guidance from manager or team members. Interpret and communicate export regulations and export strategies to the program team and management. Position requires knowledge of ITAR and EAR laws and regulations. Develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with internal and external customers.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with split time between working onsite and remotely.
This is a hybrid position with some in-office presence required in any of the following locations: Greenlawn, NY; Wayne, NJ; Fort Wayne, IN; Reston, VA; Nashua, NH; Austin, TX; Cedar Rapids, IA. To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must either reside in one of these locations currently or be willing to relocate to one of the areas for this role. ***Please note, that because this role can be based from a variety of different BAE Systems office locations, the role will be compensated in line with our geographical pay zones. We have 4 geographic pay zones, and our various sites span all 4 of them. For this Grade 11A role, they are as follows:
Zone 1 | MIN - $110,617 to MAX - $188,048
Zone 2 | MIN - $101,398 to MAX - $172,377
Zone 3 | MIN - $92,180 to MAX - $156,707
Zone 4 | MIN - $82,963 to MAX - $141,036

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Individual must have strong knowledge of the current Department of State International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Individual will be responsible for administration of ITAR and EAR license applications, technical assistance agreements, exemptions and exceptions. Coordinate Exports and Imports in accordance with BAE Systems policy and U.S. Government export regulations and laws.
Coordinates with program personnel to obtain export/import application information, reviews provisos/riders on licenses and agreements to ensure business and customer requirements can be met by the license or agreement. Continued license and agreement management. Ensure that positive provisos/riders are addressed.
Approves foreign travel and foreign visitors.
Participates in the investigation of any aspect of proposed export, temporary export, or temporary import by the Company to verify the legality of any transactions and the accuracy of the information.
Participates in the development and presentation of export related training materials.
Provides BAE Systems and/or government agencies with any required assistance or information needed during the review of a license application.
Maintains export related record keeping functions for the Company as required by law.
Participates in conducting internal compliance audits on a periodic basis.
Maintains export licensing records in EMS (OCR EASE) and/or other databases used for storing and tracking BAE Systems export licensing history and other reviews/approvals. When requested, prepares and distributes periodic reports on licensing status for use by Company personnel.
Applicant must be detail-oriented, have good writing skills, and have good organization/communication skills.
Position to include air travel to various export conferences and required training.
Bachelors’ degree and 6+ years of applicable professional experience or Master's degree and 4+ years of professional experience.
Knowledge of ITAR and EAR laws and regulations is required.
Experience with submission of export licensing applications.
Experience with technical assistance agreements (TAA)
Experience with OCR’s EASE Global Trade management software.
Ability and desire to function as an Empowered Official (EO).
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $110617 - $188048

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
