1. Job Purpose & Scope
This position is responsible to manages the Vietnam factory’s operation processes to ensure compliances to company’s SHE standard, meeting product’s specification and customer expectation. This position shall require coordinating with related personal, department, functions (internally or externally) to ensure productivity, efficiency and timely output are met within defined quality levels and requirements at a minimum cost through the effective utilization of plant resources and manpower.
2. Key Result Areas
- Manage the Vietnam factory production process to meet Product Specifications, standard cost and production budgeted.
- Ensure the consumption of raw materials accuracy record for the calculation of operating costs and finish product inventory.
- Ensure product as shot, wool distribution, binder distributions are in standard parameter, and optimal balance between shot, fiber distribution and binder distribution etc.
- Regularly review of production methods, plant limitations and labor utilization with a view to recommending and effecting improvements
- Analysis weekly production figures and monitor the performance of all manufacturing operations, taking prompt remedial action where necessary
- Motivate and develop staff within the production area and carry out annual performance assessments on all staff
- Control and advise factory operation team on equipment parameters / setting /monitoring and ensure compliance.
- Overseas, and assists in the operation of all processing equipment
- Established Rayong factory’s equipment / machineries parameters and setting. Train and ensure compliance.
- Follow up on portfolio of projects, Kaizen and improvement initiatives to ensure results are measured and achieved.
- Support operational diagnostic to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Responsible for PKF accuracy. Lead and investigate any irregularities and concerns of abnormalities.
3. Key Responsibilities & Job Content
- Responsible for the overall Site’s process related to compliance, performance and result to meet stated objectives.
- Fully understand the production equipment and machineries process, functions, purpose and its inter-related impact on SHE, cost, product quality & performance.
- Fully understand the materials, sub-materials, related materials requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring product recipe is compliance to meet Product Specification.
- Ensuring the production equipment and machinery operates within the approved guidelines, parameters, setting and SHE. Non-compliance, any irregularities or concern of abnormality should be highlighted immediately to superior/management for immediate action and recommendation of remedy solution.
- Responsible to lead and propose new process improvement activities, new materials investigation, recipe improvement exercise, cost reduction process related initiatives & process safety related task.
- Handle production problem solving and increasing productivity rate and reduce reject and scrap
- To supervise and analyses the daily performance of Rockwool production and ensuring that quality Rockwool is produced at the pre-determined quantities and within predetermined cost constraints.
- To analyze and guiding for the improvement of Rockwool production process such as energy saving, furnace heat efficiency, melt chemistry in term of cost and combustion efficiency, heat exchanger efficiency, bag house operation, SPI/PSM preparation, heat treatment and piping processes etc. and ensure they can work effectively.
- Improving production process and transferring knowledge to all concerned to understand both theory and practice to achieve the production KPI and target and achieve the maximize yield with energy saving.
- Ensure that all related production data is accurately recorded and ready for the calculation of production figures.
- Monitoring, investigating, evaluating and propose remedy action if production data / PKF / figures show irregularities or concern of abnormality. Establish and lead investigation to remedy the concerns situation / data / figures.
- Ensure the quality of products achieved on each shift target, efficiency of equipment and machinery, and established work practices.
- Technical knowledge training on Rockwool production process to the related personal for understanding on the standard operation.
- Implement the new technical knowledge or working instruction or procedure and continuous improvement of the Rockwool production process.
- To maintain a clean and tidy workplace throughout the entire factory site and in particular in the manufacturing responsibility.
- Ensure that accurate records are kept of consumption of raw materials and of manufacturing products to provide information for the calculation of operating costs and finished product inventory.
- Assist, support and participate in new suppliers’ assessments. (product related suppliers, materials, sub-materials, packaging etc.)
- Attends to any other matters as directed by immediate Superior.
- Maintain a safe system of work in the workplace by complying fully with the SHE Standard & Policy. Comply with all relevant safety, health & environment legislation
- Attends to any other matters as directed by the Line Manager
