The Senior Unified Communications Engineer has a mid-level understanding of many components of the IT infrastructure and appreciates how the component pieces work together to enable end user applications and support services. While technical specialization in areas of server, compute, network, storage, data centers, communication services, data protection services, and virtualization is pervasive Senior Infrastructure Engineers are encouraged to obtain moderate depth of knowledge and experience across multiple engineering disciplines.
Senior Infrastructure Engineers support lead engineers with technical infrastructure implementation, automation and ongoing maintenance activities. Additionally, the Senior Infrastructure Engineer provides feedback, recommendations and as-built documentation on technical and architectural designs throughout the infrastructure's life-cycle. This approach supports a continual process improvement life-cycle part of our IT Service Management discipline.
