Production Engineer - Alcoholic Beverage

A leading company in the alcoholic beverage industry is seeking a Production Engineer to join their team.
The Production Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production operations, maintaining product quality, and improving productivity while minimizing production costs and waste. The role involves monitoring production activities, troubleshooting technical issues, implementing process improvements, and working closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
Requirements
- Plan, monitor, and improve daily production activities to achieve production targets.
- Ensure production processes are carried out safely, efficiently, and according to approved procedures.
- Monitor production performance, machine utilization, output, downtime, scrap, and productivity.
- Identify production problems and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Prepare and maintain production reports, work instructions, process documentation, and performance records.
- Coordinate with Maintenance to minimize machine breakdowns and production downtime.
- Work closely with the Quality Department to ensure products meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Investigate production defects and implement root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and waste reduction.
- Optimize manpower, materials, machines, and production methods.
- Assist in production planning and ensure availability of required materials, tools, and equipment.
- Support the introduction of new products, processes, machines, and production technologies.
- Develop and monitor KPIs related to production efficiency, quality, downtime, and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and applicable manufacturing standards.
- Train and provide technical guidance to production operators and technicians when required.
- Participate in improvement projects and cross-functional teams.
