Senior Sales Engineer – Oil & Gas

About the Role

Carrier is looking for an experienced Senior Sales Engineer – Oil & Gas to join our team in the UAE. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth for Carrier HVAC and cooling solutions across Oil & Gas and heavy industrial projects.

You will develop new business opportunities, manage key customer relationships, support specifications and tenders, and convert opportunities into successful orders. The role requires close collaboration with EPC contractors, consultants, Oil & Gas end users, and internal engineering and commercial teams to position Carrier as a preferred supplier for mission-critical and customized HVAC applications.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Achieve assigned annual sales, bookings, and gross margin targets.
• Develop and manage a qualified sales pipeline for Oil & Gas projects across the UAE.
• Identify new business opportunities and convert them into secured orders.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and business partners.
• Identify opportunities to expand Carrier's presence within the Oil & Gas and industrial sectors.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain relationships with Oil & Gas end users, EPC contractors, consultants, and key industrial accounts.
• Support vendor registrations, Approved Vendor List (AVL) inclusion, and framework agreements.
• Act as a key commercial contact for assigned projects and customer accounts.
• Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate Carrier solutions.

Technical & Solution Selling

• Promote Carrier HVAC products and engineered solutions, including chillers, air handling units, packaged units, and customized systems.
• Work closely with internal engineering, product, factory, and technical teams to develop compliant solutions.
• Support technical clarifications, deviations, value engineering, and commercial negotiations.
• Present Carrier's technical and commercial solutions to customers, consultants, and project stakeholders.

Tendering & Project Support

• Review and manage tenders and RFQs for Oil & Gas projects.
• Develop appropriate pricing strategies and commercial proposals.
• Ensure proposals comply with customer specifications, Oil & Gas standards, and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate tender submissions.
• Support the successful handover of secured orders to project execution and aftermarket teams.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

• Monitor Oil & Gas market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming project opportunities.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and opportunity updates.
• Provide regular reporting on pipeline development, sales performance, risks, and mitigation actions.
• Identify market trends and opportunities to support Carrier's growth strategy.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience within HVAC, cooling, or related technical solutions.
• Demonstrated experience working with Oil & Gas or heavy industrial projects in the UAE or GCC.
• Experience working within EPC-led project environments and tender-based sales.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and applied equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience selling applied HVAC equipment, including chillers, AHUs, packaged units, and customized systems.
• Experience working with Oil & Gas clients, EPC contractors, consultants, or end users.
• Familiarity with Oil & Gas client standards and project requirements.
• Experience with customized or engineered-to-order HVAC solutions.
• Established network within the UAE Oil & Gas and industrial market.

Language Requirements

• English: Fluent.
• Arabic: Preferred.
