Valsoft · Remote · CA$120,000–CA$135,000 (stated in the posting)
About TTG
Thatcher Technology Group (TTG) provides direct selling solutions to companies around the world. TTG is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Intermediate Senior Developer to join its Professional Services Team, leading client engagements across TTG’s software platforms:
- Prowess – TTG’s established .NET Framework direct selling application.
- Ascend – TTG’s newer .NET Core microservice-based direct selling platform.
The Opportunity
In this role, the Senior Developer will serve as a senior individual contributor, primarily designing and delivering modern features for Ascend using Vue 3, TypeScript, C#/.NET Core, Microsoft SQL Server, Docker, and Kubernetes, while also supporting and enhancing Prowess where needed. The developer’s work will directly affect the systems TTG’s clients rely on to run critical day-to-day business processes.
The role combines hands-on development with solution design, complex problem-solving, peer support, and ownership of complex delivery and production issues. The Senior Developer will work closely with project management, business analysis, QA, and other developers to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
Location: Canada (remote)
The salary range for this role is $120,000–$135,000 CAD per year. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills.
What You'll Own
Design and deliver end-to-end solutions
- Own the design and delivery of complex features across user interfaces, APIs, services, integrations, and data.
- Build features using Vue 3, TypeScript, Pinia, Kendo UI for Vue, and Axios.
- Design and build C#/.NET Core services using microservice architecture, along with REST APIs and asynchronous integrations.
- Design and optimize Microsoft SQL Server data access, including complex queries, indexing, and performance tuning.
Build reliable, production-ready software
- Improve system reliability, scalability, security, performance, and observability while addressing meaningful technical debt.
- Package services using Docker and support deployments in Kubernetes environments.
- Diagnose high-priority production issues, identify root causes, and help implement durable fixes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation that supports reliable delivery and production operations.
- Adhere to security and data-handling best practices consistent with SOC 2 and PCI-DSS obligations.
Provide senior technical leadership
- Contribute actively to technical design discussions and code reviews.
- Support less-experienced developers through code review, troubleshooting, and knowledge sharing.
- Work closely with project managers, business analysts, QA, and other developers throughout delivery.
- Clearly communicate technical recommendations, tradeoffs, dependencies, estimates, and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities may evolve as the Professional Services team grows.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, including significant ownership of production full-stack applications.
- 5+ years of C#/.NET Core development experience.
- 5+ years of experience building production applications with Vue.js, ideally Vue 3 and the Composition API.
- 3+ years of production TypeScript experience.
- Strong experience with microservice architecture, REST API design, asynchronous processing, messaging, and event-driven integrations.
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server skills, including data modelling, query optimization, indexing, and production performance troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments such as AWS.
- Experience building or supporting eCommerce functionality such as carts, checkout, orders, catalogues, discounts, or returns.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently own complex technical work.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Strongly Preferred
- Experience with multilingual applications, including internationalization and localization.
- Experience in the direct selling industry.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
Why Join TTG
- Solve problems that actually matter. You’ll work on complex, mission-critical platforms that support eCommerce, orders, consultant operations, integrations, and other business processes our clients depend on every day.
- Have real technical influence. Senior Developers at TTG are expected to bring ideas to the table, challenge assumptions when appropriate, and help shape practical solutions—not simply execute someone else’s technical design.
- Stay hands-on while expanding your impact. Take ownership of complex technical work, influence engineering practices, support other developers, and contribute to architecture and solution design without having to move away from coding to grow your career.
- Work across two different technology landscapes. You’ll gain exposure to both Prowess, our established enterprise platform, and Ascend, our modern microservice-based platform built with technologies including Vue 3, TypeScript, .NET Core, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- See your work through to production. Developers stay connected to the outcome of what they build, working across design, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the people closest to the problem. Our teams collaborate directly across engineering, Professional Services, QA, and client stakeholders, giving you context behind the requirements and visibility into how your solutions perform in the real world.
- Bring your experience, and keep growing it. TTG has more than 25 years of direct selling technology experience while continuing to modernize our platforms, practices, and approach to solving complex client problems.
We use AI-powered tools (including transcription and automated note-taking) during portions of our interview process to support a consistent and thorough candidate experience. Candidates who require alternative accommodation may request it at any stage of the recruitment process.
Thatcher Technology Group is committed to building diverse, equitable, and inclusive teams. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences, and all qualified applicants will be considered without regard to race, gender, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
