Senior Research Assistant / Research Assistant (Part-time) (26270237)

The David C. Lam Institute for East-West Studies (LEWI) is seeking a self-motivated, self-directed and service-oriented team player to provide research and administrative support on a part-time (half-time) basis, with a particular focus on the two conferences to be hosted by the Institute in March and June 2027.

Responsibilities:

Assist in organising the conferences and other events of the Institute, including liaison with speakers and participants and preparation of conference materials;
Provide administrative support to LEWI and its affiliated research centres, such as writing reports;
Develop and maintain the Institute's website and manage various social media channels, including infographics;
Arrange and attend meetings with the stakeholders, such as research teams and external collaborators; and
Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Possess a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant discipline;
Excellent command of spoken and written English;
Have outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills; and
Those with or without work experience are both welcome to apply.

The appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of eight months on a part-time basis of 18 hours per week, from November 2026 to June 2027. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, and will be pro-rated according to the working hours.
