What we're looking for
The Immigration Administrator provides responsive, proactive support for Odyssey's immigration program and serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers navigating immigration matters. This is a contract position.
What you'll do
Maintain working knowledge of common employment-based visa categories, immigration processes, requirements, and critical timelines.
Partner closely with the Global Immigration team, HR, Legal, employees, and managers to coordinate immigration cases and ensure timely execution.
Proactively communicate case status, upcoming milestones, required documentation, potential risks, and next steps to employees and managers.
Deliver a high-touch employee experience by responding quickly to questions and ensuring employees feel informed throughout the immigration process.
Track visa expirations, renewals, work authorization dates, case milestones, and other time-sensitive immigration requirements.
Maintain accurate immigration data, dashboards, and reporting to provide visibility into case volume, status, timelines, trends, and upcoming actions.
Identify opportunities to streamline immigration administration and leverage AI and automation to improve efficiency, reporting, communications, tracking, and overall employee experience.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure immigration records and processes are managed accurately and consistently.
Who you are
2+ years of relevant experience in immigration administration, global mobility, or People Operations with direct responsibility for immigration cases.
Familiarity with employment-based visa and permanent residency processes, including document collection, case tracking, and renewal timelines.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
Experience coordinating with employees, candidates, outside immigration counsel, and internal stakeholders.
Clear, empathetic communication skills, including explaining next steps and providing timely case updates.
Demonstrated discretion when handling sensitive personal information and confidential documents.
Comfort using HR systems, spreadsheets, and case management tools to maintain accurate records.
Sound judgment about when to escalate questions, delays, or potential issues to counsel or People leadership.
Our staff is expected to be in office at least three times a week. A lot of our progress comes from working through problems together, and we want you in the room for that.
