Our team is seeking a Senior Substation Physical Electrical Engineer. You will be responsible for developing and leading all aspects of HV substation design. The successful candidate must have experience in the areas of substation design & project engineering from the 25kV to 500kV levels, as well as an understanding of substation components, development of single line diagrams, substation layout, and related electrical studies (clearance, grounding, isolation, etc.), rigid bus design, work planning, coordination, reporting, and cost estimating.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Perform QA/QC of electrical engineering design packages.
- Work closely with Project Managers to meet project timelines for engineering deliverables.
- Determine appropriate allocation of resources and track man-hours on projects.
- Review, comment, and approve electrical design & drawings for substation construction packages for codes and standards compliance.
- Work with the P&C team to produce complete station drawings.
- Attend client interactions and project status meetings.
- Participate in project planning meetings and reviews.
