What you will do. A glimpse in your role:

As a Field Service / Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing onsite installation and technical support for Shift4 and Global Blue solutions across Spain. Working within a global team, you will support POS and payment products for the Food & Beverage and Retail sectors, deliver frontline customer support, and build strong client relationships to ensure a smooth and efficient service experience. You will collaborate with regional and international teams across Europe, the USA, and APAC while contributing to projects, office maintenance activities, and product deployments.

Your responsibilities include:

Support onsite installation, maintenance, deinstallation, and changes of Shift4 products, including Dine, One, Payments, and other solutions, in coordination with internal teams and customers.
Act as the first point of contact for customers, providing local first-line technical support and ensuring incidents and requests are logged accurately and managed according to defined processes and service levels.
Diagnose, resolve, or escalate technical issues related to POS, payment, and Global Blue solutions while operating ticketing and issue tracking systems.
Deliver field service activities across Spain and occasionally Europe, ensuring timely resolution of customer issues and successful product installations.
Provide product training and after-sales support through onsite visits, Microsoft Teams, phone, and email in collaboration with the sales team.
Maintain accurate local inventory records and provide inventory reporting to the Merchant Solutions team.
Participate in project execution, office moves, maintenance activities, and support on-call duty rotations outside business hours and during weekends when required.
Ensure operational costs remain aligned with approved budgets.

Key competencies to empower your journey. You'll drive towards success if you have:

IT or Technology-related education.
2 to 5 years of experience in a similar Field Service, Technical Support, or Service Desk role.
Strong knowledge of PC and laptop hardware, operating systems, point-of-sale technologies, and transactional systems.
Understanding of networking and telecommunications technologies, including WAN, LAN, and VoIP.
Experience working with ticketing and issue tracking systems.
Familiarity with POS and payment terminal systems; knowledge of Shift4 solutions is considered an advantage.
Basic understanding of Azure and Intune is a plus.
Understanding of payment processing environments and merchant support operations.
Ability to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support POS and payment solutions in customer environments.
Availability to travel extensively across Spain and occasionally within Europe and internationally for installations, support, meetings, and training.
