They will use strong technical skills and supplier relationship management to proactively identify and mitigate risks. This role is highly strategic and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to strengthen supply chain resilience, improve operational efficiency, and support long-term organizational growth.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- With limited direction, this position exercises considerable latitude in identifying, evaluating, developing and administering supplier activities, projects, programs and/or performance.
- Participates in the development of policies and procedures and monitors supplier activities and performance metrics to ensure Company processes, procedures and standards are in compliance.
- Performs site visit of suppliers to evaluate logistical and performance capabilities. This will require moderate travel on a regular basis.
- Represents the organization as the primary contact with internal business groups and external suppliers.
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of internal customers and be able to communicate well with the highest positions at all of our strategic suppliers.
- Primary contact and maintains professional relationship with internal business groups and external suppliers
- Provides direction and training to professional, technical or staff and makes presentations as required.
- Will respond to supplier visit requests (to GA) and, if appropriate, set up internal meetings with the cognizant GA people invited.
- Will set up and facilitate purchased material status meetings, keeping action items and monitoring results.
