(GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Aide within our Electrical Engineering team in San Diego, CA (Poway). Under minimal supervision, this position primarily supports the Floor Change Control Board (FCCB) for minor engineering changes and additionally provides technical and documentation support to Electrical Engineering on a variety of tasks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Responsibilities - FCCB Support
- Serve as the primary Electrical Engineering liaison to the FCCB for minor Change Requests (CRs) and Change Notices (CNs).
- Ensure technical accuracy and clear communication of minor changes, including cost, schedule, and integration impacts.
- Coordinate CAD updates, drawing reviews, and approvals with design, Check/Checking, and Responsible Design Engineers.
- Prepare and present FCCB briefings, track CR/CN status, and drive items to closure.
- Participate in daily FCCB/program meetings and support configuration control activities.
- Provide technical support on electrical and cable harness tasks, including manufacturability and process improvements.
- Gather, organize, and analyze technical data (e.g., harness designs, build history, test results).
- Create and update engineering documentation, reports, and drawings.
- Conduct tests, record data, and support engineering evaluations.
- Observe all applicable laws, regulations, and company obligations, and maintain a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established procedures.
- Perform additional functions and other duties as assigned or required.
