Under minimal supervision of the Purchasing Manager, the Buyer manages the supply chain to support the overall needs of the business (sourcing and negotiating with new and existing suppliers, materials, and services as needed to increase capacities, improve quality, and reduce costs); reviews weekly demand requirements and places purchase orders as needed to meet those requirements; and participates in team activities as required.
