Project Engineer - Power Electronics, Testing and Compliance

Manage testing, certification, and compliance projects for power electronic products including UPS, PCS, EV Chargers, Energy Storage Systems (ESS/BESS), inverters, and converters.
Define project scope, test strategies, timelines, and deliverables based on customer requirements and applicable standards.
Review product designs, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation to assess compliance with safety and performance requirements.
Develop and implement test programs in accordance with applicable UL, IEC, BIS, and other international standards.
Conduct or witness testing activities at laboratories and customer locations and evaluate product compliance.
Perform technical investigations, root cause analysis, and support resolution of product safety and compliance issues.
Prepare technical reports, certification documentation, and project deliverables in accordance with quality requirements.
Provide technical guidance to customers regarding compliance requirements, certification pathways, and standards interpretation.
Collaborate with global and regional technical experts to resolve complex engineering and compliance challenges.
Support certification and evaluation activities related to battery systems, energy storage technologies, and emerging energy applications.
Coordinate laboratory activities, project priorities, and resource planning to ensure successful project execution.
Contribute to the development of test methods, technical interpretations, laboratory capabilities, and engineering best practices.
Represent UL Solutions at customer meetings, industry events, technical seminars, and conferences.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with quality, safety, and security requirements.
Uphold UL’s Code of Conduct and ensure compliance with physical and digital security protocols

Seeking a Project Engineer with a strong background in Power Electronics and Product Safety Compliance to support testing, certification, and technical project execution across UPS, Power Conversion Systems (PCS), EV Chargers, Energy Storage Systems (ESS/BESS), and related energy technologies. The role will focus on product evaluations, compliance assessments, standards interpretation, and certification activities while developing cross-functional expertise across power electronics and battery technologies.
