The global dental industry is evolving rapidly. As dental practices increasingly join larger networks and Dental Service Organizations (DSOs), new opportunities are emerging to transform how oral healthcare is delivered.
At Straumann Group, our Global Enterprise Solutions team builds long-term strategic partnerships with leading DSOs worldwide, bringing together our comprehensive portfolio of dental solutions, technologies, and services to help our partners grow and deliver better patient outcomes.
The Global Head of DSO Education Services plays a pivotal role in defining and executing a cohesive global educational service strategy that’s robust, standardized, repeatable and scalable for our DSO customer target group. This individual will create and execute a clinical excellence strategy to establish Straumann Group as the partner of choice for clinical excellence in the field of Surgical Implantology, Restorative, Orthodontics and Digital Dentistry.
Your role
Set the strategy and value proposition
- Define and champion the Enterprise Education vision, value proposition and global strategy, addressing the talent and capability challenges facing DSOs
- Develop short- and long-term strategies to scale and commercialise education across clinical, business and leadership domains.
- Translate DSO needs into differentiated propositions for C-suite leaders, providers, practice teams and platform teams.
Build the education architecture and customer offer
- Create learning pathways that connect clinical excellence with business performance, leadership capability and effective team practice.
- Develop customer segmentation and tiering strategies that make the offer relevant to different DSO needs and maturity levels.
- Design scalable education concepts that combine in-person, digital and blended formats, working with the Education Architecture & Design team to ensure effective and efficient delivery.
- Ensure the offer reflects the breadth of the Straumann Group portfolio, including digital solutions and new launches.
Create a scalable delivery and commercial model
- Establish frameworks, processes and governance needed to design, contract, deliver and continuously improve education programmes for DSO customers.
- Develop scalable delivery models especially focussed on in person/live patient training
- Define how LMS platforms and other learning technologies can improve the customer experience and support future integration with top-tier customers.
- Partner with regional and country organisations across NAM, EMEA and APAC to implement the global strategy while adapting delivery to local needs.
Shape the offer with customers and internal partners
- Build strong relationships with DSO C-suite stakeholders, including Chief Medical Officers and CCOs across top- and mid-tier customers, to understand needs and shape relevant solutions.
- Partner with the Consulting team to connect business education pathways with DSO network assessments and broader transformation priorities.
- Work closely with Business Units and ITI to represent Enterprise needs and adapt relevant content for DSO environments.
- Collaborate across Enterprise Solutions to keep education content current, portfolio-complete and aligned with customer priorities.
Enable the organisation to deliver
- Define the capabilities and training requirements for internal Clinical Education Specialists (CES), including course content, training materials and web-based learning.
- Equip regional and country teams to deliver the proposition consistently through clear frameworks, tools, training and implementation guidance.
- Act as an internal advocate for Enterprise Education, building awareness and alignment across Straumann Group functions and markets.
- Develop and manage Enterprise Key Opinion Leader relationships in support of the global education strategy.
Measure impact and improve performance
- Establish education KPIs and reporting at global, regional, customer and programme levels.
- Track adoption, learner experience and capability outcomes, and use evidence to refine the offer and demonstrate value to customers and the business.
Your profile
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in education, business, healthcare or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise education, services, business development or programme management.
- Proven ability to design and scale capability programmes or lead complex programmes from strategy through delivery.
- Understanding of clinical education and how it connects to business, leadership and workforce needs.
- Experience leading global, cross-functional initiatives and engaging senior stakeholders.
Nice to haves
Experience working in clinical processes in implantology, restorative and Orthodontics departments.
This role operates our hybrid working model 60% presence in office, 40% flexible working. Regular travel (30- 40%) is required.
