What are your contributions to the team?
In your role, within the Advanced Engineering group at Bombardier, you will:
- Work in a modern software development environment leveraging Git, Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, and Artifacts), and GitHub Copilot.
- Develop and optimize aircraft structural analysis tools.
- Support the development of automatic finite element meshing tools.
- Contribute to solving software development challenges and propose solutions to support the continuous improvement of Bombardier’s structural analysis software and engineering tools.
- Develop and extend graphical user interfaces for existing tools to improve usability and user experience.
How to thrive in this role?
As our ideal candidate,
- You are enrolled in a Computer Science or an Engineering program (software, mechanical, or aerospace).
- You are familiar with Python software development.
- Experience with the development of graphical user interfaces (GUI) and Qt is a plus.
- Experience with C++, C#, or VB.Net and Visual Studio suite is a plus.
- You have experience with software application testing and debugging
- You are knowledgeable of object-oriented programming methods.
- You are autonomous, result-driven and enthusiastic with strong work ethic.
- You are available for an extension or a longer internship (8 months)
