Learning & Capability Development Manager (Data Centre & MicroE)

We are seeking a high-impact Learning & Capability Development Manager to drive capability, productivity, and performance across our Global High Tech (GHT) business in Southeast Asia.
Supporting employees across our Data Center and Microelectronics businesses, this role is responsible for designing, developing, delivering, and continuously improving learning and capability solutions that accelerate employee productivity, strengthen leadership effectiveness, and support the commercial success of our sales and service teams.
This is an individual contributor role with regional responsibility across Southeast Asia. The successful candidate will influence capability development through strong partnership, facilitation, and stakeholder management
As the capability lead for GHT SEA, you will partner closely with business leaders, sales & services teams, technical consultants, HR, and global learning teams to create structured onboarding programs, learning pathways, sales enablement initiatives, leadership development programs, and AI-driven productivity solutions.
You will serve as the primary custodian of the region's learning strategy and capability framework, ensuring employees have the knowledge, skills, and support needed to perform successfully today while adapting to evolving technologies, solutions, and customer needs.
This role combines strategic capability development, learning design, facilitation, stakeholder management, learning operations, and performance measurement.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Capability Development Across GHT SEA
- Partner with regional and country leaders to identify capability gaps and learning priorities across Sales, Service, Leadership, and customer-facing teams.
- Develop and execute capability-building strategies aligned to GHT business objectives, growth priorities, and workforce needs.
- Establish structured learning pathways and development frameworks for GHT teams across the region.
- Continuously assess organizational capability needs and recommend solutions that improve employee performance and business outcomes.
Design and Scale a World-Class Onboarding Experience
- Own the design and governance of the GHT onboarding framework across Southeast Asia.
- Develop structured onboarding journeys that enable new hires to achieve productivity within targeted timelines.
- Build onboarding curricula, learning resources, manager guides, capability milestones, and success measures.
- Partner with Hiring Managers and business leaders to ensure onboarding programs are consistently executed and effectively embedded across the region.
- Track onboarding effectiveness, employee progress, and time-to-productivity metrics and continuously improve the onboarding experience based on outcomes and feedback.
Build Sales, Service, and Leadership Capability
- Design and develop learning solutions that strengthen commercial effectiveness, service excellence, product knowledge, and leadership capability.
- Create GHT-specific sales enablement programs supporting key solutions, technologies, and offerings that are not currently covered by existing global training programs.
- Design leadership and management development programs that strengthen coaching, people leadership, team effectiveness, and performance management capabilities.
- Support capability development initiatives that help employees adapt to changing business priorities, market conditions, and customer requirements.
Deliver High-Impact Learning Experiences
- Facilitate and deliver capability programs across Southeast Asia through instructor-led, virtual, workshop, simulation, and blended learning formats.
- Deliver onboarding, leadership, AI enablement, and GHT-specific capability programs as required.
- Facilitate learning initiatives that address emerging business needs, product innovations, and commercial priorities.
- Create engaging learning experiences that maximize knowledge retention, application, and behavior change.
- Travel across Southeast Asia as required to support capability-building initiatives and business priorities (approximately 20% travel).
Partner with Technical Subject Matter Experts
- Collaborate closely with Industry Technical Consultants (ITCs), technical leaders, marketing, sales, and product teams to identify capability needs and learning priorities.
- Translate technical and commercial content into practical, scalable learning programs that can be effectively deployed across the region.
- Partner with Industry Technical Consultants and subject matter experts to design, coordinate, and deploy technical learning programs, while leveraging technical experts as the primary content owners and trainers.
- Ensure technical learning content remains current with new innovations, product launches, solutions, and business developments.
Drive Learning Governance, Measurement, and Effectiveness
- Establish measurement frameworks that evaluate learning effectiveness, application, behavior change, capability improvements, and business impact.
- Track and report key learning metrics including participation, completion, onboarding effectiveness, certification status, productivity indicators, learner engagement, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms that provide leaders with visibility into learning activities and capability outcomes.
- Continuously improve programs using learner feedback, business results, and performance indicators.
Leverage Digital Learning and AI Enablement
- Champion the adoption of AI and digital learning technologies that improve employee productivity and capability development.
- Design and implement learning solutions that help employees effectively leverage AI tools and emerging technologies within their daily work.
- Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities where AI-enabled tools, agents, knowledge solutions, and learning platforms can improve commercial and service effectiveness.
- Build and manage digital learning content through Workday Learning and other relevant learning technologies.
- Evaluate emerging learning technologies and recommend innovative solutions that enhance employee learning and performance.
- Explore and develop AI-enabled solutions, tools, agents, and knowledge resources that improve productivity, learning effectiveness, knowledge accessibility, and employee performance across Sales and Service teams.
Collaborate Across Functions and Regions
- Partner with Sales, Service, HR, Marketing, Technical Consultants, and business leaders to ensure alignment between capability initiatives and business strategy.
- Collaborate with global and regional learning teams to localize global learning content and create region-specific solutions where needed.
- Present learning and capability updates, outcomes, and recommendations to GHT leadership teams across SEA and broader APAC forums as required.
- Engage external training providers and learning partners when specialist expertise is required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience managing the full learning lifecycle, including needs analysis, program design, content development, facilitation, implementation, and evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience building onboarding programs, capability frameworks, learning pathways, or development curricula.
- Strong facilitation experience supporting sales, service, leadership, or customer-facing populations.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Workday Learning, digital learning platforms, and learning analytics.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and countries.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and program management skills.
- Experience measuring learning effectiveness and connecting learning outcomes to business performance.
- Experience designing and facilitating leadership, management, coaching, or people-leader development programs.
Preferred
- Experience supporting sales, service, engineering, manufacturing, industrial B2B, technology, data center, microelectronics, semiconductors, or other technical commercial environments.
- Experience developing capability programs for customer-facing or technical populations.
- Exposure to AI-enabled learning, digital productivity tools, knowledge management, or workforce capability transformation initiatives.
- Certification in instructional design, facilitation, coaching, leadership development, adult learning, or related disciplines.
- Regional or multi-country experience across Southeast Asia.
