About the Role Do you want to come to work with a smile and leave with one as well? As an Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern, you will gain hands-on experience driving a culture of safety, compliance, and well-being on our manufacturing floor. You will actively participate in risk assessments, support internal audits, and help facilitate safety campaigns, making a tangible impact on the daily lives of our plant personnel.

What You Will Do (Core Responsibilities)

Audits, Assets & Compliance

Conduct assessment and asset verification, ensuring strict compliance with financial policies and maintaining the housekeeping of the asset master list.
Assist the team with internal audit preparations, conducting walkthroughs, and providing valuable observations and recommendations.
Assist with the preparation, data tracking, and submission of routine reports related to plant EHS performance.

Risk Assessment & Documentation

Take a hands-on role in the documentation and updating of critical safety process flows.
Assist in drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Safety/Hazard Analysis (JSA/JHA), and Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) documents.

Safety Engagement & Culture

Assist with the facilitation and execution of EHS workshops, safety campaigns, and plant-wide events.
Capitalize on opportunities to participate in cross-functional learning with other engineering and operations teams.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

Availability: Able to commit to a full-time internship for a minimum duration of 6 months (2 vacancies available).
Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), Engineering, Material Science, Science, or a closely related field.
Regulatory Knowledge: A basic foundational understanding of EHS principles and local regulatory acts (e.g., DOSH/OSHA regulations).
Core Skills: High attention to detail, highly adaptable, and a proactive team player.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the plant. Well-versed in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Tech-Savvy: Skilled in using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) for documentation and reporting.
