Role Overview
This position is based in the Newburgh, New York area and focuses on maintaining and growing sales within an assigned customer base and geographical territory. You will develop a customer-focused approach that helps retain preventative maintenance contracts, increase revenue per customer, and strengthen the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage retention activity across an assigned service agreement customer base of approximately $3M-$3.5M.
- Grow and protect sales within your territory while working toward assigned quota goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and build a detailed understanding of each account, including key decision makers, equipment, service contract details, and history.
- Identify customer needs and turn them into practical sales strategies that support retention, customer satisfaction, and growth.
- Partner with district operations to support service delivery and resolve issues that may affect the customer relationship.
- Track progress and share performance metrics with operations and corporate teams on a weekly and monthly basis.

- Take ownership of your territory, customer commitments, and results with accountability, safety, and integrity.
- Stay close to the work by understanding customer priorities, account history, and service realities so you can remove obstacles quickly.
- Use weekly and monthly results to spot trends, speak candidly about what is working, and improve performance through practical problem-solving.
- Work across sales and operations as one team, building trust, sharing information, and using different perspectives to strengthen outcomes.
- Follow current Johnson Controls policies, procedures, products, programs, and services in day-to-day activity.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- Technical aptitude with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Ace, and Report to Web.
Nice to Have
- BA, BS, or a similar degree.
- 2+ years of sales and/or customer service experience with a similar product, service, or industry.
- Experience with preventative maintenance contracts, service agreement sales, or customer retention in a recurring-service environment.
- Highly motivated, success-driven, and able to work with a high degree of self-discipline.
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to quickly qualify opportunities, and comfort selling intangible services.
- Independent, creative thinking and a strong follow-through mindset.
