Pharmacy Manager | Pharmacy | Part Time - 30hrs per week | Permanent | Methley – LS26
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our Pharmacy department on a part time, permanent basis.
Spire Methley Park Hospital situated in Methley in South Leeds, has recently completed a 7.6 million refurbishment, which included a new theatre equipped with cutting-edge technology enabling us to carry out complex surgery across a variety of clinical specialties. At Spire Methley Park Hospital caring for our patients is at the heart of what we do. We provide expert medical care in our modern, well-equipped hospital for all of our patients.
Duties and responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and evaluate pharmaceutical care to meet patient’s health and wellbeing needs.
- Assess the health and well-being of patients whose needs may be complex and changing within the context of their medicines.
- Plan, monitor and evaluate the movement of medicines.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with various individuals and groups on complex, sensitive and occasionally contentious issues in a range of situations.
- Lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practice.
- Modify and structure data, information, computer records and stock management documents.
- Delegate work to others.
- Plan and maintain the efficient use of physical and financial resources.
- Develop own knowledge and practice and assist others to continually professionally develop.
- Ensure the development of strategies and policies for service improvement.
- Assist with research and the collection of factual data and information.
- Develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security.
Who we're looking for
- Degree (BSc/MSc Hons)
- Current member of the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient requirements.
- Worked in a pharmacy environment
- Analysing clinical and management problems and coming up with viable solutions
- Working as a practitioner in and across multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient cases
- Experience of clinical leadership e.g. developing peers
- Competence across a range of management and leadership skills supported by skilled professional knowledge
- Competence across a range of pharmaceutical subjects supported by professional and clinical knowledge
