This is a multidisciplinary, internationally recognized research program that participates in National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded, translational alcohol abuse disorder neuroscience research. The program provides theoretical and technical training to engage in preclinical experimentation that integrates behavioral animal models with state-of-the-art neuroscientific techniques, from gene to behavior, to elucidate neuroadaptations in limbic and cortical systems that promote maladaptive behavioral regulation in alcohol use disorder and neuropsychiatric disorders. This role supports the operation of the laboratory and execution of procedures to conduct and complete research endeavors. This position requires the ability to work independently to complete research projects and prepare data for dissemination through posters, presentations, and publications.
