Job Description

SPA Supervisor – Stratum SPA -  Mercure Oradea

As SPA Supervisor, you will coordinate the daily operations of our spa & wellness center, ensuring high service standards, an excellent guest experience, and efficient team performance in line with Mercure and Accor brand standards. You will oversee the smooth operation of the spa facilities, support the team, and contribute to the commercial performance and development of the wellness department.

You will be responsible for:

Spa Operations & Team Coordination

• Coordinate the daily operations of the spa & wellness center, ensuring smooth workflows and compliance with operational procedures.

• Supervise the spa reception team, therapists, and lifeguards, providing guidance and support to maintain consistent service standards.

• Organize team schedules, daily tasks, opening and closing procedures, and operational handovers.

• Monitor the condition, cleanliness, and readiness of all spa facilities, including swimming pools, saunas, treatment rooms, and fitness areas.

• Ensure that opening, closing, safety, and maintenance checklists are completed accurately.

Guest Experience & Service Standards

• Welcome guests and provide accurate information about spa facilities, treatments, memberships, and available services.

• Handle guest requests, feedback, and complaints professionally, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

• Ensure a consistent, personalized guest experience in line with Mercure and Accor standards.

• Monitor guest access and ensure compliance with spa policies, capacity limits, and membership conditions.

• Coordinate treatment bookings and support the team in delivering a high standard of service throughout the guest journey.

Sales, Revenue & Administration

• Promote spa treatments, wellness services, memberships, and retail products to maximize revenue opportunities.

• Monitor daily revenue, transactions, occupancy, service utilization, and other key operational indicators.

• Ensure accurate recording of guest visits, treatment bookings, payments, and membership usage.

• Monitor stock levels and consumption of spa amenities, towels, linens, and retail products.

• Prepare daily operational reports and communicate relevant performance indicators and operational issues to management.

Safety, Hygiene & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with hygiene, health and safety standards, internal procedures, and applicable local regulations.

• Monitor pool water quality records and ensure that required operational checks are performed and documented by the responsible staff.

• Ensure that lifeguard procedures, emergency protocols, and incident reporting requirements are consistently followed.

• Report technical issues, equipment malfunctions, and maintenance needs promptly, following up until resolution.

• Maintain accurate records of incidents, guest complaints, maintenance issues, and corrective actions.

Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage to ensure seamless coordination between departments.

• Train and coach team members on operational procedures, guest service, sales techniques, and brand standards.

• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service quality, and revenue performance.

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of spa SOPs, checklists, and reporting procedures.

• Contribute to a positive team environment built on accountability, collaboration, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in SPA, Front Office, Guest Services, Sales or customer-facing roles is an advantage.
• Hospitality education or hotel experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Romanian and English (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage.
• Basic computer skills; experience with hotel PMS systems is a plus.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong guest-oriented mindset.
