Marketing Manager Diabetes Care, Switzerland
This position works out of our Site in Baar in the Diabetes Care division.
Primary Objective of Position
- Develop marketing strategies, using all elements of the marketing mix, including brand development with the aim of further increasing sales (currently at approx. $100MM). Leading and developing the local marketing team.
Major Accountabilities
- Define brand strategy for the Swiss market
- Create and track in-country marketing and brand plans, lead brand plan reviews at EMEA level and communicate to the commercial organisation as appropriate.
- Full A&P budgetary responsibilities (both planning and actual performance) ensuring promotional campaigns are within agreed spending limits and providing accurate reporting.
- Liaise closely with the sales management and sales team to ensure promotional and selling campaigns are developed on strategy and executed effectively.
- Ensure sales teams are well trained and able to execute strategies effectively.
- Liaise closely with all functions (including Medical, Regulatory, Customer Services, Manufacturing, External Agencies and EMEA Marketing).
- Responsible for reporting and explaining Marketing KPIs in monthly CDR meetings.
- Lead Insights generation and Marketing Planning.
- Lead and develop the Swiss marketing team
- Event management: responsible for congresses, patients and HCP events in Switzerland (ensure alignment with brand and marketing strategy)
- Collect and report of competitor intelligence; key contact for EMEA competitive intelligence manager Ensures that all activities are performed in compliance with quality system requirements as well as Abbott policies and procedures and industry standards
Qualifications:
- Educated at university degree level or equivalent experience
- Languages: fluent in German and English, at least basic French, Italian is a plus
- Minimum 10 years of experience in medical technology market or pharmaceutical
- Med-tech or Pharma industry with proven know-how of product/portfolio management processes
- Experience in launching new products
- Experience in brand management via digital marketing (social media advertising or · campaigns, influencers management)
- Experience in working with MS Office as well as Veeva Enterprise
- Experience in digital selling (development of eDetailers as well as rep triggered emails)
- Experience in KOL management / sales experience in Healthcare/ Pharmaceutical industry
- Marketing experience including working with advertising/ creative agencies
- E-commerce experience ideally in the Diabetes Monitoring or Endocrinology field
- Solid understanding of the Swiss medical technology market or pharmaceutical market environment and key technical/ regulatory aspects is a plus
- Ability to communicate a vision for a team, break it down to meaningful short, mid
- and long-term goals.
- Proven track record in building high performance teams.
