About the Role:

The Design Director lead our Art Directors, Creative Technologists, and Digital Production teams in Bengaluru. This is a strategic leadership role focused on building a high-performing creative organization within a global delivery model, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring high-quality digital marketing assets are delivered efficiently at scale. We're looking for someone who thinks beyond creative direction alone and can improve processes, workflows, tools, work sharing, and team effectiveness, while providing strong design leadership across the end-to-end delivery lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years leading and developing large, multidisciplinary teams. • Lead and evolve a multidisciplinary organization of Art Directors, Creative Technologists, and Digital Production specialists, creating a high-performing team that delivers quality, consistency, and scale across a global delivery model.
• Drive creative excellence across the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, ensuring digital marketing assets are strategically sound, customer-centric, on-brand, and executed to the highest standards.
• Establish clear operating models, workflows, and governance that improve efficiency, predictability, quality, and collaboration across Creative, Production, Technology, Strategy, and Account teams.
• Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and shared ownership by coaching leaders, developing talent, and creating meaningful growth opportunities across disciplines.
• Strengthen global work-sharing and cross-functional collaboration practices to increase team capacity, improve responsiveness, and support business growth across regions.
• Partner with department and business leaders to align creative priorities, resource planning, and delivery strategies with client, commercial, and organizational objectives.
• Find opportunities to simplify processes, eliminate operational inefficiencies, and improve the team's ability to deliver high-volume, high-quality work at scale.
• Champion innovation in tools, platforms, automation, AI, and creative technologies that enhance productivity, quality, knowledge-sharing, and team effectiveness.
• Shape organizational capability by building succession plans, identifying future skill needs, and ensuring the team is equipped to meet evolving digital marketing and customer experience demands.
• Create an inclusive and collaborative environment that encourages experimentation, knowledge sharing, healthy debate, and strong partnership across global teams.
• Provide strategic leadership for creative operations and delivery excellence, ensuring the right people, processes, and governance are in place to support long-term growth.
• Serve as a senior leader within Epsilon Digital Creative, helping define the future direction of the organization, strengthen its reputation, and contribute to broader business and talent strategies.

• 16+ years of experience in an agency, consultancy, or in-house creative environment, including significant experience leading digital creative work, teams, and client relationships.
• A strong portfolio of visually polished work across digital channels, with evidence of process driven work.
• Demonstrated success setting creative direction across multiple clients, brands, or complex workstreams.
• Deep understanding of brand systems, customer experience, digital design, and how creative contributes to business and marketing objectives.
• Ability to translate ambiguous or complex briefs into clear creative strategies, inspiring direction, and executable ideas.
• Strong people leadership, with experience coaching senior creative talent, building capability, managing performance, and creating accountable teams.
• Executive-level communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to persuade, challenge, and build trust with senior clients and internal leaders.
• Commercial awareness, including the ability to balance creative ambition with scope, timelines, resources, production constraints, and client value.
• Fluency in multidisciplinary creative delivery and a strong understanding of the capabilities and limitations of design, motion, development, production, data, and technology teams.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, AI and presentation tools, plus working knowledge of Figma, motion workflows, and modern creative technology.
• A proactive, adaptable approach and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-moving advertising technology environment.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings, pitches, workshops, and team collaboration as required.
