About the role
As Lead Consultant, SAP Public Sector Management (all genders), you will play a key role in our company. You will advise management and senior leadership at our public-sector customers. In SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, you will take a leading role in ensuring successful delivery from a business perspective. You will be a key point of contact for project leads, project teams and customer management on complex or highly sensitive matters relating to SAP Public Sector Management (PSM), including budget management and grant management.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising customers on the transformation of their existing ERP landscapes, with a focus on SAP Public Sector Management (PSM), primarily in connection with SAP S/4HANA
- Taking responsibility for work packages throughout the various phases of SAP S/4HANA implementation projects or Application Management. Your work will span solution design, implementation and Customizing, migration, functional and integration testing, training, go-live support and second-level support
- Providing subject-matter leadership to teams working on these packages throughout the project phases
- Playing a central role in generating and securing new business
- Contributing to bid teams and preparing and quality-assuring proposals
- Taking on full or partial project leadership responsibilities
- Making a significant contribution to the development of junior colleagues in SAP Public Sector Management (PSM)
Your profile
You have a degree in economics, business informatics, computer science or mathematics, or an equivalent qualification. You also have at least seven years of relevant experience designing and implementing SAP solutions for public-sector accounting (FI/PSM/PSCD). In this work, you have taken responsibility for customer relationships and managed project teams. You have developed expert knowledge through multiple customer projects and have extensive experience in consulting and providing subject-matter leadership on projects. You also bring:
- Outstanding methodological expertise in both traditional and agile project environments
- A strong understanding of integrated systems and expert knowledge of implementing and configuring customer-relevant processes in SAP Public Sector Management (PSM), including budget management and grant management
- Proven experience in a responsible, hands-on role in public-sector implementation projects, including S/4HANA projects, or in Application Management
- Experience managing or leading projects or workstreams
- Knowledge of accounting and public-administration processes
- Knowledge of SAP PSM and related modules such as FI/CO, as well as experience with SAP Fiori (UI5)
- Strong market and competitor insight, and an understanding of the latest SAP technologies, including SAP HANA and cloud solutions
- An ability to identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities
- A keen interest in advising external customers and willingness to travel at least 50–75%, primarily within Germany
- Very good German and English skills (CEFR levels C1 and B2, respectively)
