Job Description:

The jobholder leads functionally the team Aircraft Technical Services in APAC, which consists of the Technical Support, Aircraft MRO, Aircraft Maintenance & Data Services, Technical Data, Service Bulletins and Methods & Tools teams in APAC. 

He/she will need strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen, as well as the ability to form strong working relationships to develop and manage teams. 

The jobholder is also tasked to:

• Report and directly support the HO Operations of AHPI technical issues related to local customers.
• Ensure continued airworthiness of Airbus Helicopters fleet in Philippines and to keep the fleet flying with high level of safety and reliability.
• Manage operations of CAAP Part-6 Approved Maintenance Organization  Pursuant to CAAP PCAR IS: 6.4.1.1, reports functionally to the MD CC / Accountable Manager as the nominated Maintenance Manager (Base, Line & Workshop) subject to CAAP acceptance, responsible for:
• Maintenance Operations: Overseeing all hangar, line, and component maintenance including defect rectifications to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Corrective Actions: Implementing all quality compliance corrective actions across base, line, and workshop operations.

Primary Responsibilities

Covers the tasks that the employee is solely responsible for. This means that it is the employee’s responsibility to drive these tasks and ensure their fulfilment. For example: Work on constantly expanding Airbus Singapore’s pipeline of new suppliers; Manage the negotiation activities of new supplier agreements etc

• Define and lead the strategy for the ATS team in APAC in alignment to the Company yearly Top Functional Objectives
  • Develop, oversee and manage overall APAC projects’ budget, plan and schedule, through active engagement of internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead and manage a team of engineers and tech reps to treat Technical, Tech Data Distribution, Health Usage & Management System, Continuing Airworthiness, Connected Services related queries from direct customers and customer centers in the Asia Pacific region. 
  • In the forefront of handling key/demanding Customers, challenging situations, and act as a facilitator to unblock complex technical situations and targeting the final agreement/compromises.
• Fulfill the Service Level Agreement obligations for the Airbus Helicopters Asia Pacific Technical Support hub, including 24/7 Aircraft On Ground (AOG) tech support duties.  
  • Organize & manage regular technical product review meetings with customer & stakeholders to inform about maintainability & operability issues.
  • Improve and monitor the technical support activities by meeting contractual/internal performance targets as well as considering customer constraints and check efficiency of the action plans 
  • High level of expertise for technical solutions and capacity to coordinate the team and to improve internal processes and competencies 
  • Manages project of technical diversified activities dedicated to customer support for the APAC team 
  • Ensure the global Technical Support Out Of Office Hours and Follow The Sun 24/7/365 service by working in regular and recurring on-duty periods.
  • Conduct tech support & data distribution Audits on customer centers to ensure alignment with quality requirementss
• Drumbeat and coordinate with regional counterparts to fulfill Support Engineering’s productivity and customer satisfaction objectives.

Operational Management 

• Drive and deploy Airbus operational and safety  excellence for the team. 

This includes monitoring budgets, resources, and procedures by working with cross-functional teams and initiating corrective action. 

• Implement operational tools and processes to enhance efficiency and support scalable growth. 
• Work closely with the front office team to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

Leadership

• In line with the Airbus leadership model, manage team members. Engage, develop and motivate the direct teams on Airbus Values and utilizing HR tools and processes.  
• Define and support People Development goals as defined - Provide coaching & mentorship for the team members and contribute towards their professional development.
• Lead and inspire the team to excel in their respective responsibilities and to meet the company’s ambitions. Help the company build and lead a high-performing team that is aligned with the company’s vision and mission.
• Ensure all assigned trainings are completed timely
• Be responsible for the well being of the subordinates
• Proactively monitors the team’s performance and communicates the company strategic priorities in the context of these objectives. Ensures alignment, collaboration and adaptability among all team members to successfully execute these strategies
• Other duties reasonably determined from time to time by the Company

Secondary Responsibilities

Covers the tasks that are primary to another employee, but where this employee assists, contributes, supports etc. That is to say that the employee has an obligation to cooperate in the performance of the secondary tasks

Role purpose: To provide operational and financial administrative support to ATS dept for the revenue generating activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Financial Management:

• Process costing sheets and generate project codes to facilitate financial tracking.

• Manage the full billing cycle for customer projects and intercompany SLA in SAP.
• Monitor project budgets and man-hour clocking in SAP
• Procurement & Operations:

• Support dept. Staff deployment for overseas missions, and related logistics.
• Nominated as dept. Delegated authority for travel approvals, ensuring 100% travel policy compliance thru BIPO.
• Compliance & Audit:

• Department focal point for internal and external financial audits. Engage auditors on Dept. claim, sales, purchase orders and credit notes.

Qualification & Professional skills

• Tertiary education in Aerospace, Aviation, Business Administration or related field.
• CAAP (or equivalent) Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer   
• More than ten years working experience in helicopter maintenance and / or design office with the last 3 years working in management position
• Expert knowledge on Airbus Helicopters products (at least on 2 aircraft types)
• Operational knowledge of EASA and CAAP regulations for Part 21, Part 145 and Part 66. 
• Effective written and oral communication skills in English. Bilingual preferred
