About the Position

The Learning Acceleration Field Specialist (LAFS) works alongside instructional coaches, teachers, and school leaders across multiple sites to strengthen Grades 4-6 literacy instruction. Working primarily through a Student-Centered Coaching model, the LAFS spends most of their time inside classrooms supporting coaches in effective coaching cycles through co-planning, co-teaching, and real-time student support within Tier 1 instruction. The LAFS also provides professional learning in the Science of Reading, Structured Literacy, and Learning Acceleration practices to educators. Candidates who thrive here are energized by being in schools, comfortable with complexity, and skilled at influencing change through relationships rather than authority.
