THE ROLE:
AMD is seeking an experienced marketing professional to provide temporary coverage for APAC Commercial Client Marketing responsibilities during a planned parental leave absence.
This role will own the end-to-end execution of approved APAC Commercial Client GTM programs and priorities, while supporting regional strategic planning. The scope includes regional planning and execution, campaign and event delivery, stakeholder engagement, reporting and marketing operations activities across APAC, including execution support in Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines.
The successful candidate will work closely with regional and country Sales and Marketing teams to ensure continuity of ongoing initiatives and maintain operational excellence during the coverage period. The individual will independently drive agreed initiatives from planning through execution and reporting, proactively resolve execution issues, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and remain accountable for agreed deliverables and outcomes within the approved scope.
This is a contractor backfill role focused on maintaining continuity of existing responsibilities and ensuring seamless execution of approved marketing plans and programs. The role operates within established business priorities and approved plans.
Key Responsibilities
1. APAC Commercial Client & Channel GTM Priorities
- Own end-to-end execution of approved APAC Commercial Client GTM programs and priorities, with accountability for agreed deliverables and outcomes.
- Execute quarterly regional-led marketing activities (ABM with Demandbase, paid media, lead gen campaigns)
- Drive agreed regional GTM priorities into actionable marketing programs in partnership with regional and country Sales and Marketing teams.
- Ensure alignment and communication between regional and country teams.
- Proactively identify and address execution risks, dependencies and gaps to keep programs on track.
2. Quarterly Regional GTM Planning
- Support quarterly and annual regional GTM planning by providing market insights, program performance learnings and execution recommendations.
- Partner with regional and country teams to drive agreed priorities into executable marketing plans and programs.
- Maintain regional marketing calendars and execution timelines.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, action items and dependencies.
- Drive alignment and effective communication across stakeholders to support timely execution.
3. Campaign & Event Execution
- Own and manage end-to-end execution of assigned marketing campaigns, customer programs and events against approved plans.
- Drive and execute customer workshops, roadshows, webinars and industry events.
- Manage campaign assets, timelines, approvals and execution requirements.
- Monitor program progress and performance, take corrective actions where required, and proactively escalate risks or issues.
- Capture program outcomes and execution learnings to inform future planning and optimization.
4. Sales & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the day-to-day marketing lead for assigned APAC Commercial Client GTM programs during the coverage period.
- Partner directly with regional and country Sales and Marketing leaders to align on GTM priorities, identify market requirements and drive agreed initiatives through execution.
- Independently make day-to-day program execution decisions within the approved scope to maintain delivery and business continuity.
- Influence and drive cross-functional stakeholders toward agreed actions, timelines and outcomes.
- Drive regular business discussions, planning reviews and program updates.
- Proactively resolve execution issues and cross-functional dependencies, escalate changes to strategy, scope or investment for appropriate approval.
5. Marketing Operations, Reporting & Governance
- Maintain marketing activity trackers, reporting tools and operational processes.
- Deliver campaign and program performance reports.
- Support governance requirements, documentation and compliance processes.
- Ensure timely completion of reporting and operational deliverables.
- Maintain accurate records of program activities and outcomes.
- Monitor agreed program KPIs and outcomes, identify execution gaps and recommend follow-up actions as appropriate.
6. Agency & Vendor Management
- Work with agencies, event partners, production vendors and external suppliers.
- Manage agency/vendor execution against agreed program requirements, deliverables and timelines.
- Track deliverables, timelines and execution requirements.
- Ensure vendor activities are completed according to agreed plans.
- Proactively address delivery issues and escalate risks where required.
7. ASEAN Marketing Execution
- Execute approved marketing activities across Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines.
- Partner with local Sales and Marketing stakeholders to drive agreed programs and track the results against agreed objectives and applicable KPIs.
- Drive reporting, planning coordination and operational requirements across the 4 markets
Expected Business Outcomes
- Business continuity: Maintain continuity of APAC Commercial Client GTM programs and existing MY, SG, VN and PH marketing execution responsibilities, with key priorities and deliverables maintained during the coverage period.
- GTM delivery: Deliver assigned programs against agreed objectives, milestones, timelines and applicable program KPIs, proactively addressing execution gaps.
- Sales & stakeholder alignment: Maintain effective regional and country Sales and Marketing engagement, translating agreed GTM priorities into executable programs and driving closure of agreed actions.
- Program effectiveness: Track results against agreed program KPIs and translate performance insights and execution learnings into actionable recommendations.
- Operational excellence: Maintain accurate and timely reporting, governance, documentation and compliance requirements.
- Proactive and independent ownership: Independently drive assigned programs and stakeholder engagement, proactively resolve execution issues and dependencies, and appropriately escalate decisions outside the approved scope.
Preferred Qualifications
- Very Strong B2B technology marketing experience.
- Experience supporting regional marketing programs across APAC.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Experience working with sales, marketing, agencies, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision and ramp-up time.
- Proficiency in AI, Microsoft Office, reporting tools, and marketing program management.
